If you’re tired of working from your house and want to know where the best places are to eat and work remotely in Birmingham in 2021, this list is for you! Now that we’re able to get out and do more, we wanted to bring you an updated version of this list for 2021. Many of us have been working from home for a very long time at this point, so it’s nice to be able to get out and about more often now.

And it’s not just about having fun and a change of scenery either. It’s good for your overall health and well-being too! We all need to stretch, move around and be active when working from home and seated all the time. Getting out and working somewhere new can afford you some time in your busy day to take a walk down the street and enjoy the fresh springtime air. If you need any more incentive than that to get out of the house, there’s always that overpriced coffee you’ve been craving, right?

Hey, it’s always cool to hang at a coffee shop with your laptop and chat up a friend while you post the picture of your latte on Instagram. It’s well worth the cost for the change of scenery. But where are the best places to get real work done with WiFi, a plug and some food? You’ve come to the right place.

The Edwardian Tearooms at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

If you’re looking for somewhere to get some work done surrounded by beautiful artifacts, the Birmingham Museum of Art Edwardian Tearooms is a must-go-to place to work remotely.

The Edwardian Tearoom at the Birmingham Museum of art is open to all – not just museum and art lovers. Pop in, order a coffee and maybe even a slice of cake and get lost in your work in exceptionally beautiful surroundings.  If you want to escape for the day undisturbed, this is a great place to do it.

Library in the Forest

Have you ever had one of those days where you really want to go hiking but you have too much studying or work to get finished and deadlines to meet?

Maybe you’re just sick and tired of sitting inside. Luckily for you, there’s a perfect place that mingles great studying, Wi-Fi and the great outdoors on Montgomery Hwy.

Sprout and Pour

When you’re sick and tired of cheap fast food when you’re working remotely, Sprout and Pour is a good alternative. With fresh, organic smoothies and juice, you’ll love hanging out in the quiet environment and meeting those deadlines!

Octane and Red Cat

Both of these coffee shops are great places to study. Close to restaurants, good music, great food and coffee and at Octane if you show up after 8 PM, you can get free pastries!

There are plenty of places in Birmingham that are perfect for working remotely and actually being productive. Have any suggestions? We’ve love to hear your ideas and feedback in the comments!
