Birmingham, Alabama. As a real estate investor and founder of
Alabama
Real Estate Investors Association
, we understand that while areas like Mountain
Brook, Vestavia Hills, Pelham, Homewood, and Trussville may be the areas you want
to buy your family house and raise a family, we also know that those may not
be the best places to find your next fix and flip or wholesale deals.
On this list, we will tackle what we call “the next five” and if you are a real estate investor
in Birmingham, these might be the places to look for your next project,
but these are also nice areas to buy and hold as well.
1. Chelsea- Chelsea is a suburb of Birmingham and has a ton to offer including single family homes and large builds on acres of land.
If you are looking for golf courses look no further than Indian Hills CC and if you are a fan of shopping local Chelsea has a local antique mall and is also home to many trails and lakes for outdoor activities. The great local schools also make Chelsea a great place to live, but also a great place to invest.
2. Helena- Helena is a quiet suburb with a lot to love, including the food!
The local cuisine and coffee shops are perfect for any foodie and the Helena public schools mean that Helena will continue to grow and be an investible area for years
to come. Many people come to Helena for a more relaxing night out!
3. Gardendale- Another beautiful, investible suburb is Gardendale.
Gardendale is only
20 minutes from downtown Birmingham and offers the suburb feel with large single
family lots. Typically, if the country clubs are nice, the people and communities
will follow. That is certainly true of Quail Ridge CC and the city of
Gardendale is well known for their local events!
4.Pinson- Pinson may not be the biggest community or suburb in Birmingham,
but it certainly has a lot to offer! Investors will love the amount of ranch style homes in the area that make for simple flips and housing prices continue to steadily increase in the area. There are also beautiful nature preserves and public
golf courses that add to the home values.
5. Fultondale- The small town of Fultondale is known for its local barbecue with
Porky’s Smokehouse and Full Moon BBQ, but also is an investor dream with all of the ranch style, single-family homes.
Fultondale is just 15-minutes from downtown
Birmingham, making it valuable to those who work in the city.
Fultondale’s location makes it perfect for fix and flip, buy and sell, or buy and rent investors
These 5 areas may not be known as the highest income locations in Birmingham,
